Lapierre are known for making high quality mountain bikes with carefully sellected components to best suit their geometry.

Occasionally Lapierre let you have a go.  Usually only with the Down Hill and Freeride models.  Its agreat chance to convert your existing, and sometimes dated, 180mm or 200mm travel bike and turn it into something new.

It's amazing how much difference to the ride a simple change in geometry makes.  This combined with a fresh paintjob and you are ready to drop in again.  A new bike for half the cost.
